Well, after two weeks what’s happening?

Everything and nothing. I think that’s the answer. As you may be aware from my last post there were some problems with this site and the system I was using.
I have attempted to set up a replica of the way this site operates using Joomla, Mambo, Typo3 and WordPressMU. What I discovered is that there is nothing as good as the one I am already using here, Drupal.
What this means is that I had to learn how to speed up the delivery of pages in this system and how to make it run with the restraints of the new MySQL database. After several very long days I believe that I have succeeded, tell me if I am wrong.
Now I can go back to concentrating on developing the tools and resources to help you become better writers. Tools to help you go on the publish your books either through traditional means or self-publishing, hard copy or digital formats.
One of the new tools I have added to this site is the Writers Resources page. When you are logged in you are now able to add links to the resources that you have found useful. This is more than a link farm because you can add more description to your entry.
Now be nice with this, I do have the ultimate control over what remains on this page as with all of this site and I am quite happy to delete anything I think is spam. It’s not set up yet but I am also setting up a way to check the backlinks you create to this site.
The deal is going to be this – you can put a link on the resources page any time. If you want that link to be other than a no-follow link you will be required to put a reciprocal link to Bearly Books, any page, and let me know the URL of the page that link is on. I will be checking regularly that the link is still in place. While it remains live and not a no-follow link then so will yours. If it disappears or becomes a no-follow link, so will yours. Close your membership here and your links will also close.
At the moment though all links are follow so get them while they’re hot and I’ll tell you when they are about to become reciprocal.
