Well this is a doozy.  I have to confess that I would never have thought of writing about womens undergarments.

Not in a polite book in any case and I don’t write the other sort (I haven’t even read one of that type since my teenage years).

You should read what authors have to say.

I remember one of my sales trainers telling me that the way to move forward in any endeavor is to find someone who is further along the path you want to take and ask them questions about how they got to where they are now.

They know how to get that far, they may not yet know how to go further so, if you are in a hurry, you need to get to where they are then find someone further along and repeat the process.

I don’t know everything about writing good books, getting published, selling your work but I do know quite a lot about those things and I do read extensively online and off.  I ask questions and I learn more.

I don’t have to know everything, I just have to know more than you  😉  and If I keep learning I can stay ahead of you so I can share what I have learned. But if you catch up and or pass me then I can learn from you, I promise I won’t get bent out of shape when you tell me I’m wrong.  I’ve been wrong before and it didn’t hurt me, much.

Wasn’t it a Robert Heinlen story where the Professor liked to take on students who wanted to study subjects he didn’t know anything about so he could expand his own knowledge?  And when the students caught up with him he stopped charging for the lessons but studied along with them?

Nothing forces you to learn faster than having to teach someone else how to do things.
