While all of those reasons are valid in as much as they apply to you the real reason could be very different.

This site is really all about helping aspiring authors, like you, get themselves published in the first instance without having to go down the path of the dreaded rejection slip.

No-one likes to think that they have been rejected and getting a slip in the mail saying that they didn’t like the book you have spent the last year writing can be quite soul destroying.

To avoid revisiting that pain many budding authors at this stage never send another manuscript off to the publishers and/or never send the original manuscript off to any other publishers.

The reality of a rejection slip is that the publisher is rejecting themselves from potential profit from sales of your book and they know that.  It is a commercial decision more often than a rejection of your story.  Most publishers only publish a limited genre of books so if you happen to have submitted something that doesn’t fit their criteria then, regardless of how good your book may be, they will reject it.

Others then explore the self-publishing path.  When they do they discover that it is a very rocky and expensive path to travel in the off-line world and fraught with technological pitfalls in the online world.  This site is your entry to self publishing online without having to be any sort of techo or geek.

Here at Bearly Books we publish almost everything, we don’t edit your work and you’ll only get a rejection if what you have written would be banned or R-rated in the 3D world.  Actually you won’t get a rejection, it will be deleted and you will be warned.

Our suggestion is to join, add one book, follow the suggestions of how to promote your book because that’s what we do every day.  See how it all goes, ask questions in the forums, buy other people’s books and discuss them with other members.
