Learn to read. It’s so important these days that your children are good communicators.  Reading and writing are still the most important skills your children must have for success in life.

They are also useful skills for your own personal entertainment and education.  It is true that children of parents who have been failed by their schools and are poor readers will most likely be poor readers themselves.

You know when you child needs reading help, the shool teachers cannot provide the one-on-one help a struggling child needs and they are restricted in how they can teach by their curriculum.  You are not under any such restrictions and you can provide the supportive help your child desperately needs.
