The art of writing fiction, non-fiction and marketing are far more interlinked that you may think.

My favourite books are those which “reach” me.  For fiction they are the books which I lose myself in and begin to truely live the story.  Time disappears and I don’t even notice the beginnings of the next chapter.  I am genuinely “in the moment” or “in the zone”.

I describe it as creating my own movie as the book evolves.

This is described by psycologists as a Mu moment and apparently we are all capable of experiencing them.  It has to do with the focussed concentration we bring to bear at such times and can be triggered by reading, writing, some sports and/or a hobby.  There may be others.

Are you aware that this is exactly what the top marketers also are striving to do?  They want you to read their message and “live” the story, solution and experience the emotions of the end result.  When they can do that they make a lot more sales and a lot more money.

When you can do that you’ll make a lot more sales and a lot more money.  Is that something you would like in your life?  Or would you prefer just the fame?

Regardless of which (or both) of these you want with your writing you can learn how to make this happen. 

What that really means is that you can learn how to write in such a way that your readers will be totally engrossed by story.  No it isn’t your brilliant grammer or spelling.  It has much more to do with the way you put it all together.
